Dogs don't get into trouble because they can't swim.
They get into trouble because they get tired.

Strong swimmers go until they gas out.

Even the best swimmer runs out of energy — especially in cold water, current, or long play sessions.

When paddling slows, the head dips first.

A tired dog's front end sinks. The nose is what needs to stay up — not the belly.

Most vests float the belly, not the face.

Regular life jackets tilt tired dogs nose-down. PupFloaty holds the chin level.

The ChinRest™

A pillow for the moment they need a break.

1. A padded front float sits right under the jaw — nose stays above water without effort.

2. Buoyancy spread across chest, sides and belly keeps them level in the water instead of tilted.

3. Your tired dog rests and floats instead of fighting to stay up. That's what makes water days calm.

Better than the basic vest we had

Our old jacket floated his body but his head still dipped when he got tired. This one feels like it was designed around the actual problem instead of just adding foam around the dog.

Good peace of mind

Not magic and you obviously still need to watch your dog, but it gives our older pup extra help when she gets tired. That's exactly what we needed.

Worth paying more than a regular dog life jacket

I hesitated because there are much cheaper dog life jackets online. Most of the ones I looked at seemed nearly identical though—foam around the body, a bright color, and not much thought given to what happens when the dog becomes tired or starts swallowing water. Our Frenchie is very front-heavy, so support around his face was the feature I actually cared about. We tested this in the shallow end first and slowly let him get comfortable. The vest supported his body while the front section helped him maintain a better swimming position. He was calmer, we were calmer, and getting him out of the water was much less stressful. For us the extra cost made sense because the design addresses the reason we wanted a life jacket in the first place.

Surprisingly comfortable

I expected the front float to bother him but he adjusted to it pretty fast. He could walk around, jump onto the dock and swim without looking stiff or restricted. Took us a few minutes to get the straps set the first time, after that it was easy.
